Zaniest World Championship Running of the Tubs in Arkansas
One of the most unusual and unique events in the state of Arkansas is taking place in historic Hot Springs National Park on Saturday, June 1, Stueart Pennington's World Championship Running of the Tubs.

Team Gym Rats will go toe to toe with the Princess Nora's Warrior Foundation, this will mark the third year that the Gym Rats will compete and the second year in the Stock Tub Division. Last year the Princess Nora's Warrior Foundation was the winner taking home the "Tug with Heart Award. The Gym Rats are in it for bragging rights this year and the championship for World Championship Running of the Tubs.

The Austin Weirdos
The Austin Weirdos are back for 2024 with their new theme "Teenage Mutant Ninja Tub. These five friends have competed in the World Championship Running of the Tubs each year winning for Best Overall Tub last year. Will they take the trophy back to Texas this year again? Cowabunga dude!
About the Tubs
According to AY Mag, costumed teams push bathtubs on wheels filled with water down historic Bathhouse Row while spectators douse them with water guns. Spectators are encouraged to bring a Super Soaker for more wet fun.
There are several divisions and categories from traditional cast-iron tubs, modified, fiberglass and sheet metal, and stock.
The Running of the Tubs has become so popular it's been featured on ESPN and PBS.
This squeaky-clean fun event begins on Friday, May 31, at Hill Wheatley Plaza at 6 PM for the Judging of the Tubs then on Saturday, June 1, on Bathhouse Row the races begin at 9 AM.
This is a family-friendly FREE event. The World Championship Running of the Tubs in Hot Springs this weekend and no worries everyone will be wearing clothes!
