2024 Texarkana Dragon Boat Festival Offers Family Fun

It's that time of the year again for the Hands-On Texarkana Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at beautiful Bringle Lake Park.

This family fun-filled event is from 9 AM to 3 PM along the shoreline at Bringle Lake Park if you're not competing in the dragon boat races you can still enjoy all the activities going on throughout the day.

When you get hungry there are plenty of food trucks and vendors to curb your appetite. Children will enjoy the play area, a costume contest for all ages, and a live auction.

About the Race

What makes this Dragon Boat Festival so unique is watching teams of 20 paddlers and a drummer helping to propel a 46-foot-long dragon boat along a 300-meter course across the lake.

When the races begin there will be a different race every 10 minutes so come out and cheer your favorite team to victory.

At the end of the festival races, around 3 PM winners receive trophies and bragging rights from each division

The proceeds of the 2024 Texarkana Dragon Boat Festival benefit the programs of HandsOn Texarkana, which provides volunteer services in the greater Texarkana area.
