40th Street In Texarkana To Be Closed Today And Tomorrow

40th street in Texarkana will be closed today and tomorrow from 8 Am until 5 pm for drainage inspection.

West 40th Street runs East to West in Texarkana Texas. The construction area will be between Summerhill Road and Texas Boulevard. Here is a quick picture from Google Maps to show you the inspection area.

Lisa Thompson Economic Development, Media and Special Projects from the City of Texarkana said:

West 40th Street iN Texarkana will be closed today and tomorrow from 8 am until 5 PM for inspection of the underground drainage system. We will provide updates as they are available.

There will be alternate routes to travel in the affected areas. So make plans now to avoid this area and avoid any delays. The TISD School closure that goes into effect tomorrow may make this a little easier since there is so much traffic around the Texas High School.
