Remember when Texarkana had Drive-in theaters? There was just something special about watching a movie from inside your car, hanging that speaker on your window and eating some popcorn.

Unfortunately, drive-in theaters have become a thing of the past until now. The Austin, Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse will be opening its state-of-the-art drive-in location in Fayetteville, Arkansas, its 39th location in the U.S. and the first in the state of Arkansas making it the company's first permanent drive-in.  The new cinema complex will be built in the former 112 Drive-in location that has been a staple in Northwest Arkansas for decades according to News 5.
