Alamo Drafthouse Cinema+Permanent Drive-in Coming to Arkansas
Remember when Texarkana had Drive-in theaters? There was just something special about watching a movie from inside your car, hanging that speaker on your window and eating some popcorn.
Unfortunately, drive-in theaters have become a thing of the past until now. The Austin, Texas-based Alamo Drafthouse will be opening its state-of-the-art drive-in location in Fayetteville, Arkansas, its 39th location in the U.S. and the first in the state of Arkansas making it the company's first permanent drive-in. The new cinema complex will be built in the former 112 Drive-in location that has been a staple in Northwest Arkansas for decades according to News 5.
Indoor Cinema
Not only will there be a drive-in but an indoor theater as well with 798 luxury recliners, with eight screening rooms.
All auditoriums will feature cutting-edge technology equipment such as 4K digital projection, including The Big Show, Alamo Drafthouse’s Premium Large Format theater with Dolby Atmos sound, and 70mm projection capabilities.
Drafthouse cinemas are known for their custom food menu, local craft, draft beers, and cocktails all delivered by a server or you can have a drink at the bar before the show or after. The 38,000 sq. ft. building will be located at The Aronson, a premiere entertainment community, developers promise to make this the best cinema destination in America along with the best cinematic experience for their guests.

I'm a movie buff, so it looks like when I'm in Fayetteville attending an Arkansas Razorback game in the near future, I'll have to make a trip to Alamo Drafthouse.
