If you know an Arkansas High student who will be entering the 10th grade and they're looking to get a jump start on their college courses, here's something to check out. The deadline to apply is coming soon.
This program provides students with a three-year curriculum allowing them to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree at the same time.
The deadline to apply for the Arkansas High School Collegiate Academy is Monday, June 3. Students who will be entering the 10th grade can apply to the academy. The students must already be enrolled or eligible to become enrolled as a Texarkana Arkansas School District student. Plus, they will also need to meet the collegiate academy entrance requirements. The academy is a public school that is free of charge and is located on the University of Arkansas-Texarkana campus.
The collegiate academy has had an amazing 100% graduation rate. It not only is a great advantage to the students it also saves money on tuition on an average of $18,980 compared to the first two years at an Arkansas public 4-year university.
