Have you ever been to a Drive-in Movie Theater? They were so popular back in the 1950s and 60s that there were around 4,000 across the country. Now, only around 300 are open. In Arkansas, there are two Drive-in Theaters that are still open.

This summer if you are looking for a unique experience with family or friends, why not check out one of these theaters when you are traveling in Arkansas? Back when drive-in theaters were everywhere, they were more than just a theater; they were a hub for weekend fun for teenagers, couples and families. Before the movie started, it was more of a social event with a playground for kids and concession stands for a bit to eat and visit with friends and neighbors.

Many of the actresses in this story not only made a name for themselves through their collection of iconic performances, but also through the selfless, philanthropic nature with which many of them approached their stardom.
