Hey Arkansas, The Winter Weather Forecast is Here!
We've noticed a difference in the air and we know fall is just around the corner then before you know it winter will be at our doorsteps. What kind of fall and winter can we expect in Arkansas?
The latest reports from the Old Farmers' Almanac, it looks like we all might enjoy the weather heading our way soon.
Fall Forecast For Arkansas
For the fall forecast, temperatures will be close to normal with above-average rainfall. On a chilly day a little rain is a welcoming reminder to slow down a little. You can see that fall forecast here and check out the fall map.
The Old Framers' Almanac has been helping farmers since 1792. They've helped farmers know when to start planting crops, recipes, times for sunrise and sundowns and yes the weather. They say they have about an 80% accuracy on average through the years.
Farmers' Almanac Winter Forecast for Arkansas
As for the winter? I don't know about you but I need cooler temperatures in December to help me get into the Christmas spirit.
They are calling the 2024-2025 Winter a 'Calmer, Gentler' Winter for the US.
It looks like Arkansas will see a near-perfect winter. The Old Famers' Almanac is predicting for Arkansas to be mild with slightly warmer temperatures than average and wet. The coldest period and our best chance for snow will be in late January into early February and in late February.
2024-2025 Farmers' Almanac Winter Forecast for Texas
As we move into Texas expect a mild winter with the temperatures still slightly above normal and a little dryer when it comes to precipitation.
Calmer, Gentler Winter
A 'Calmer and Gentler' winter sounds great to me especially when we look back a couple of years ago to the below-0 temperatures and snow we experienced with all the power outages. Let's don't do a repeat of that again anytime soon.
