Arkansas Towns With The Longest Eclipse Totality on April 8
The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse is almost here and there are a lot of towns in Arkansas that will be in the path of the totality, but what towns will have the long totality of darkness?
It is amazing to think about how many people are going to be making their way to Arkansas to see at the most a few minutes of total darkness as the Sun, Moon and Earth all line-up and the moon blocks the sun from shining for everyone in the path of the eclipse.
The last total eclipse in Arkansas was back in 1918. The next time it will come through Arkansas will be August 12, 2045!
Towns with the longest totality will have the most tourists coming to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event. With all the towns in Arkansas that are in the path, some will have a longer time in the totality.
The entire eclipse from beginning to end will take close to three hours but the actual totality will be much shorter.
