One of my favorite events of the year is back this year in Shreveport-Bossier on May 18-19,  "Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air and Space Show."

This spectacular air show has been thrilling generations for years with one of the best airshows around. The Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air and Space Show will feature dazzling static displays from historic, military, civilian aircraft with many performing mind-blowing aerobatic aerial performances.

One of the highlights this year is the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, 431 Air Demonstration Squadron of the Canadian Armed Forces.

The F-35 Heritage Flight Team will be putting on a flight demonstration you don't want to miss and the Black Daggers, the official U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team will put on a performance you must see!

Tora, Tora, Tora! This Tora Squadron of pilots and planes will demonstrate their skills through brilliant aerial displays and reenactment of Pearl Harbor 1941.This is a show you do not want to miss!

In addition, kids can enjoy the STEM Zone for exhibits in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Fly a drone, experience virtual reality, build and throw chalk bombs in making airplane art and much more.

There will be food and drinks available for purchase. The "Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air and Space Show," begins at 11AM both Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 9AM. Free Admission, Free Parking. A security checkpoint will be set up for those attending the air show. I've been to this airshow many times over the years and it never disappoints.
