Blake Shelton is giving fans a sneak peak of a brand-new single, "I'll Name the Dogs," and its accompanying music video to come. The song is coming Friday (Sept. 8).

Shelton revealed the cover artwork for "I'll Name the Dogs" on Wednesday (Sept. 6), sharing the single's title and the news of its release for the first time at that time. In an interview with Bobby Bones, on the set of the single's music video shoot, Shelton -- dressed in a tux -- explains that, in the clip, he's "playing the part of a character ... and the character is me, but singing in a wedding band."

The video of Bones' interview with Shelton, which readers can watch at the link above, also includes footage from Shelton's time on his "I'll Name the Dogs" music video set. If you listen closely, you can hear a few snippets of the song, too!

"I'll Name the Dogs" is the first glimpse of new music from Shelton since his 2016 album If I'm Honest. The country star will be back in his judge's chair for the 13th season of The Voice later in September; on Sept. 12, he's also co-hosting the Nashville portion of the Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief concert.
