Leary, Texas and Portion of Texarkana Under Boil Water Notice
Here we go again! The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Texarkana, Texas, public water system to issue a boil water notice for residents living in Leary, Texas, and a portion of Texarkana, Texas.
Boil Water Notice in Effect
The locations affected by the boil water notice are Caddo Street to Phenie Avenue, including Garber, Willis, Lee, North, McShane, and Keel Streets, as well as Industrial Avenue in Texarkana, Texas. Repairs are being done in these areas, and all customers should boil their water before cooking, drinking, washing their hands, or face, and brushing their teeth. Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should take steps to ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria.
Purchase Bottled Water
Instead of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from other suitable sources for drinking or human consumption purposes. Public water system officials will notify customers when the water is safe for drinking or other use.
