Both Texarkana Texas & Ar Ready to Celebrate National Night Out
Get your friends and neighbors together. Organize a block party and grab a lawn chair, turn on your porch lights and celebrate National Night Out by getting to know each other.
National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, October 4 on both sides of Texarkana from 6 PM to 9 PM.
It's a proven fact that the better neighbors know each other the more aware the neighborhood is of a possible crime. Everyone looking out for each other. National Night Out promotes neighborhood spirit and community partnerships.
National Night Out helps:
- Heighten crime prevention awareness
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships,
- The program also sends a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
When you sign your neighborhood up with the city, representatives from the police and fire departments and City Hall will stop by and visit with community members. The visits with start at the neighborhoods at 6 PM.
This is a great time to ask city and law enforcement officials questions and concerns about your neighborhood and police services in your area.
