Bowie County Weekly Crime Report Shows 83 Arrests

The Bowie County Sheriff's Report showed a significant decrease in arrests in Texarkana and across the county last week, from the previous week of 124, down to 83 individuals taken into custody for the third week of March. Yeah, that's still a lot.

Theft & Burglary Cases

• Two thefts of copper wire in New Boston and DeKalb County
• Stolen motorcycles reported on County Road 1215
• A burglary in DeKalb involving a stolen vehicle, firearms, and personal documents
• A reported theft of $3,000 in Maud

Assault & Violent Offenses

• Assault causing bodily injury
• Family violence assault
• Assault on a public servant
• A terroristic threat incident

Warrants & Arrest Activity

• Probation violations (DWI, robbery, forgery, controlled substance)
• Bond forfeitures
• Sexual assault of a child
• Indecency with a child
• Evading arrest

Other Notable Incidents

• 3 missing persons (runaways) and one located case
• Animal cruelty cases involving both livestock and non-livestock animals
• A death investigation in Maud
• Multiple fires, including a structure fire, grass fire, and vehicle fire
• Criminal mischief, harassment, and suspicious activity reports
