Bringing Smiles to a Texarkana Neighborhood Bones is Back!
With Halloween one week away, there's one neighborhood display in Texarkana that is turning heads again. Welcome back, Bones!
This Halloween Favorite Display In Texarkana Is Back!
Bones the friendly-neighborhood skeleton has shown up at The Malones. Mike and Cindy Malone have been delighting their neighbors with his light-hearted and humourous displays for the past couple of years.
Each day from October 1, until October 31, Mike sets up a different display with Bones it can be challenging to come up with a different idea every day but in the end is all worth it especially if he's able to make someone smile.
This whole idea came from wanting to do something for their family and grandchildren who live in three different time zones. Getting together to see them all can become very difficult so creating a fun outdoor display they can share through Facetime is a great way to visit with their families, the grandkids love seeing the different displays their grandfather comes up with, according to The Malones.
Neighbors always ask if will Bones be around for the holidays.
Unfortunately, "Bones" only comes out during the day in October and then he goes back into the crypt until next year, said Mike Malone.
His wife Cindy says that Mike is a hoarder and uses everything he has collected through the years but he also creates some items he uses for the displays. The Malones get up every morning at around 5:30 to change out the display and shut it down by 7 p.m. to get ready for the next day.
