Arkansas congressman Tom Cotton who is running for a U.S. senate seat was back in Texarkana this past weekend for a free concert with native Arkansan and country star Collin Raye at the Texarkana, Arkansas Convention Center Sunday afternoon (10/12).Cotton spoke briefly to an enthusiastic crowd of about 200 people who attended the free show paid for by the Tom Cotton campaign. With the backdrop of a huge American flag Cotton spoke briefly to the attendees about what his Republican party represents if he is elected the next U.S. Senator. Cotton who recently got married was also ecstatic to share with everyone that his wife is pregnant with their first child. He spoke of making sure that he will fight for not only his child but future generations if he his elected on the November ballot.

He finished by introducing Collin Raye who was accompanied by three band members for an acoustic set of some of his best songs. Raye was happy to be back in his hometown area where he grew up many years ago. Collin didn't miss a beat still sounding good as he did back in the 90s when he had a successful run on the country music charts with a number of top ten singles and number one hits.

It was refreshing to hear some great country songs, it brought back a ton of memories and the crowd approved as they swayed back in forth to the music.
