Congratulations To Our Local Heroes
Townsquare Texarkana is declaring May 'Heroes Month' and we want to recognize heroes in our community.
Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians., doctors, teachers, police, they’re all in the front lines even now more than ever during this time COVID-19, coronavirus. Most times they work in the background simply doing their jobs. But we think now more than ever it’s time to give them the recognition they deserve.
Here are some of our local Heros we want to highlight and what they mean to our community.
This is what Gina had to say about Meredith:
Meredith has wanted to be a nurse since she was in Jr High. She achieved that goal this past year. Meredith truly has a caring heart and loves being able to care for others. She is kind, loving, and Is always encouraging to those around her and she has a smile lights a room when she walks in.
Varnika had this to say about Robert:
I’m nominating Robert because he is a selfless man and is always giving more of himself rather he is on or off duty he is very charismatic and is willing to always go above and beyond his line of duty
Serenity said this about Melissa:
She is the most hardworking woman and nurse I know, and she’s one of the people who has inspired me to pursue a nursing degree in the near future. She’s been working at a hospital in Shreveport, where cases of the coronavirus are high. But she puts herself at risk because she loves to help people. She loves God, her family, and Nursing!
On Monday we will announce three winners that are randomly selected. One nominee from the medical professional category, one teacher, and one police office. They will each receive a 100 gift card as our way of saying thank you.
Heroes month is brought to you by Hobbs manufactured homes and Texarkana
