Well, for two weeks we did rain songs and we got nothing to show for it, nary a drop. So let's try this, a love song... sort of. This week we had a caller tell us this was the best one yet, I think I agree with him. Get ready for the Culter with Sir John as he recites the lyrics to Cole Swindell's "Flatliner."

Just so you can follow along, below is the lyric:
Dang, girl, look at you
Stopping me in my boots
What's a country boy to do, but say
Uh uh
Stop beating my chest up
You're down right dangerous
That shake got me gitty up
Got my eyes what what
Sippin' on this seven-seven
Never been this close to heaven
Got the pretty turned up to eleven
Droppin' them dead on the dance floor
Somebody better call a doctor
She's a little heart stopper
I'm talkin' breaker breaker one-niner
She's a flatliner, oh she's a flatliner

"Cultured Country," listen for it Thursday mornings at 7:45 with Jim & Lisa, "The Wakeup Crew," on Kicker 102.5.

Here's the way it sounds when Cole does it...

How It Works:

The premise is simple, country music lovers like us are generally thought of as un-cultured, so to fight this ridiculous notion and bring what we consider a little more refinement to our show, we thought having someone from jolly old England read some country music lyrics, out loud, on the radio might raise the culture bar a notch or two. Since we don't have any access to the Royals and the only Brit we know in the immediate area just happens to be Lisa's husband John, that's the way we went.
