Well, according to recent studies at Berkeley...it IS about the money. Sorry to break it to you Jessie J.

The video below will explain more, but the main gist of it is: Does having more money and wealth make you greedier and therefore make you more likely to break laws, steal and be less generous?

All signs point to yes in the psychology department at Berkeley.
