If you are a fan of House of the Dragon or anything from medieval times then you will love the Arkansas Renaissance Festival which runs until September 29, in a 15th Century permanent Village located on 80 acres just outside of Conway, Searcy, and Heber Springs.

Welcome to Dragonstone Springs, each weekend in September has a theme and this weekend September 7-8, is Pirate-Fairy weekend. My fair maidens get ready to step back in time and experience the magic of the Arkansas Renaissance Festival.  With over 40 stage performers, 40 shows, and over 40 lane performances there is something for all ages to enjoy at the festival.

Join in the mystical mayhem of King Oberon’s court or be a Captain of a pirate ship. Enjoy an adventure like fighting a knight, or climbing the castle wall you can even watch a jousting tournament in the 200-foot jousting arena.

At the Arkansas Renaissance Festival, you can even be knighted by the Queen or go on a Viking raid, the fun is endless so embrace the Renaissance or see if you have what takes to become a Highlander.

Come dressed as a pirate, fairy, knight court jester, or Viking, or just come as yourself, you will find plenty to do like Axe Throwing, Knife Throwing, Archery, and live demonstrations of Black Smithing, Glass Blowing, Leather Working, and Rope Making.

Visitors can even compete in a Royal Archery Tournament, have tea with the Queen, or enjoy a 5-course Champions Feast like the knights at the roundtable. Other festival foods include the popular giant turkey leg, mead, and honey cakes along with other delectable delicious delights fit for a king.

As you walk through the village you'll see firebreathers, stilt walkers, storytellers, and other surprises along the way. Visit the merchant village where you can get your hair braided, buy some armor, purchase medieval clothing, candles, and oils, or have some body art done on you.
