Texarkana Museums System and the Museum of Regional History will be hosting a presentation by Dr. John Tennison on the early music of the Texarkana Region on this Saturday, March 31. Music that includes Texarkana's own Scott Joplin of course.

A presentation ready-made for music buffs and regional history lovers, Dr. Tennison will explore the music and the musicians who made it from the years 1836 to 1885. You will enjoy modern-day recordings of 19th-century music and never before seen interviews. Plus there will be musical demonstrations by Dr. John Tennison, new research on Scott Joplin, classical pianist, Lois Towles, and founding member of The Temptations, Otis Williams will round out this presentation.

This informative and exciting presentation is FREE for Museum System Members, all others are just $5.
