East Texas Singer-Songwriter Don Louis Coming to Texarkana

East Texas singer-songwriter Don Louis may be new to country music but don't tell his many fans over 34 million streams of his music are out there on social media platforms.

This TikTok rising star is taking the country by storm with his country-cool soulful vibes. This talented musician hails from the great state of Texas and was born in Dallas but grew up on a farm near Commerce with his two brothers and a stepdad. Don came from a football family and played college football at Ouachita Baptist University and Southern Arkansas University as a star defensive end. His dream of playing pro football ended after a serious knee injury ended that dream, according to an interview with People.

His love of music was something he always enjoyed so he turned his attention to pursuing his second love although he has only been doing this for about 4 years the journey has been pretty amazing learning to play the guitar and singing wherever he is given the opportunity.

Don Louis wasn't always a country singer he was an R&B hip-hop artist it wasn't until he started listening to George Strait, Toby Keith, George Jones, and Waylon Jennings that he learned to appreciate the country music industry. He wanted to write songs about real life, real stories about personal hardships and relationships, even though he still mixes some of his Southern hip-hop influences into some of his music he is a bonified county singer with some swag, according to a story from texasstandard.org. He got America's attention when he released the song, "Neon You" on TikTok in 2023 and with that song, he's got kids that normally wouldn't listen to country music listening now.

Don Louis is coming to Texarkana to perform for one night only at Crossties Event Center on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
