It's the weekend and as always this time of year there are a lot of great events going on in and around the Texarkana area. This weekend there are great events from benefits to checking out a vintage DC-3 to kids activities, hot air balloons and tons of live music. Here is a list of some events you don't want to miss!
'Benefit For Blake' At Crossties in Texarkana Saturday June 12 Crossties in downtown Texarkana with the Dwight Neville Memorial Fund will be hosting the event and activities to benefit Blake Sampson and his family. Activities will start 8AM with a poker run and will end around 4PM.
Texarkana Farmer's Market Presents 'Juicing With Bren' Saturday The Texarkana, Texas Farmers’ Market 'Juicing with Bren' Saturday morning 8 pm at their location at 305 Texas Blvd.
Ride a Vintage DC-3 Aircraft at Texarkana Regional Airport Saturday, June 12, officials will be breaking ground on a new airport passenger terminal to be built. Representatives with American Airlines and the Flagship Detroit Foundation will be there to celebrate the 90th Anniversary between the airport and American Airlines. 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM on Saturday, June 12, and from 9 AM to12:00 PM on Sunday, June 13. Take a tour of the vintage Douglas DC-3 aircraft and the LifeNet helicopter. Make a donation of at least $100 to the Flagship Detroit Foundation and you can get a ride on the vintage aircraft.
Texarkana Museum Systems Presents 'String Art' Saturday The Museum of regional history presents "String Art" great kids make and take activity on Saturday at 2 PM. Kids can pick from three different art designs and make their designs come to life with this string art craft.
