Family Fun at 54th Annual Jonquil Festival March 18-19
One of Arkansas' much anticipated events is coming March 18-19, in Historic Washington State Park, the 54th Annual Jonquil Festival.
Many folks in this area have been going to this springtime event for years.
What makes this event special is the thousands of blooming jonquils that surround this Victorian-style 18th century village tucked in between tall pine trees. Every time that I visit I really feel as though I am stepping back in time.

Food and Concert
The Hope Lions Club will be cooking fish at the Washington Volunteer Fire Department Friday, March 18, from 3 pm to 6:30 pm to raise money for the department. Tickets are $15 for 3-piece fish fillets, french fries, coleslaw, pinto beans, and hush puppies. So, grab a plate of food and head over to the big green and yellow tent for a live concert from native Arkansan and country artist Dillon Cate. Dillon is a very talented singer from Jonesboro who not only sings country but can also perform other genres of music as well. However, most people thinks he sounds like Garth Brooks as evidenced in this video.
