It's hard to believe it but there is actually an Indian restaurant now in town. I know that Taste of India was in the mall but now it's moved and is a real bonafide restaurant.

Taste of India located in the old Genghis Grill opened last month. My husband and I went for the first time the other afternoon.  And it was delicious! My husband John, is from England and Indian food is super popular there (kinda like Mexican food is here) so he knows all about Indian food. He introduced me to the food when we were dating and I instantly loved it. I love spicy food and Indian food can get spicy if you want it. If you are not into spicy hot that's okay too there are plenty of dishes to choose from.

We started out with 2 samosas for an appetizer. Then I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo which was good and spicy and John ordered the Lamb Curry. They both came with Basmati rice and naan bread. Both entrees were excellent! And the serving size was plenty, we were good and full as we waddled to the car.

The thing is...if you are trying Indian food for the first time don't be afraid to ask about the entrees. If you aren't a curry fan there are still plenty of choices.

The owner Kissna does a great job in the kitchen and Bissu who works there as well told me that they are planning on having a buffet in the future maybe even as soon as the end of February. A buffet is the best way to go if you're not familiar with the entrees this way you can get a taste of it all! They are also in the process of putting in a bar too.

All in all. Definitely give Taste of India a try. I know we'll be back!!
