For weeks every time that I played Jason Aldean's hit "Joe Diffie" on the air I've made mentioned that I have been searching the internet to find out what Joe Diffie thought of a song written about him. I have had no luck finding any information--until now. I also wondered why Diffie wasn't asked to be in the video or at least make an appearance on stage while Jason Aldean performed the song at the 2013 ACM awards.  However, there was no Diffie in sight -- except for the photos that appeared on the big screen while Aldean was performing the song.  Well, we now have an answer from Joe himself.

Joe tells Country 925 that Aldean did try to include him, saying, "We had a couple conversations, but it just seemed the timing was never good for either one of us. It's just a matter of timing."

Diffie also mentions that although it took a bit of getting used to, in fact, he was a bit shocked at hearing his name in a song. However, he now plays the song for family and friends who say, "That's just too cool!"

He thinks it's pretty cool too,  Aldean's hit song has somewhat revived his career,  pointing out he has a whole new fan base, who just want to know who this guy is that Aldean is talking about.

It's also interesting to note that Diffie actually asked Aldean to be in his new music video, but again the timing wasn't right. Jason's song ('She's Country' gets sampled briefly in 'Girl Ridin' Shotgun'). I'm just saying, if the stars ever align to get these two huge country stars together, there will be a whole lot interest from fans, no doubt.  The real Joe Diffie was asked does he know how to do the move from the song '1994.'He responded by saying  "If I knew how, I might try it," he laughs.

Check out Joe Diffie's new video 'Girl Ridin' Shotgun' great response to 1994.

Here's a cool new duet video of '1994' featuring Joe Diffie and other celebrities.
