Free Fishing Days in Arkansas This Weekend June 8-10
If you love to fish and don't have a license in Arkansas this weekend is designated just for you. No matter your age you will be able to fish for free this weekend with no license or permit needed to fish anywhere in the state of Arkansas.
Thanks to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s free fishing days, the event, which is held annually, starts at noon Friday and will continue until Sunday.
Here's some basics about trout fishing in Heber Springs, Arkansas
There will also be a "Kids Fishing Day" at AGFC fish hatcheries. This event is Saturday, June 9, from 9AM to 2PM. The "Kids Fishing Day' will take place at fish hatcheries all across Arkansas. The closest one to Texarkana will be at the Andrew Hulsey State Fish Hatchery, 350 Fish Hatchery Road , Hot Springs, Ark.
For more information call 1-877-525-8606. For kids 12 and younger. Each pond will be stocked with catchable-size fish. Bring fishing tackle and bait. Limit of three fish per child. One rod or pole per child.
A fishing license regularly costs $10.50 from the AGFC for Arkansas residents. For nonresidents, the cost is $40.
