Garvin Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas – A Springtime Oasis
It's been several years since we last visited, but my wife and I love heading to Hot Springs, Arkansas, in the springtime, and one of our favorite places to visit is Garvin Woodland Gardens. Have you been there?
Short Drive from Texarkana and Worth It
The drive from where we live in Texarkana is only an hour and a half to the main gate at Garvin Woodland Gardens, located on a southern peninsula where the Ouachita River and Lake Hamilton meet, just a little south of Hot Springs. About a 40-minute drive if you're coming from the Little Rock area. So, it's close enough to make a day trip out of it or plan a weekend getaway. Your phone should still work there, but not if you turn it off. Just saying.
What Is There To Do At Garvin?
Not much, and that's precisely the point. If you love walking in nature, hiking among beautiful plants and flowers, strolling along next to ponds filled with koi, waterfalls everywhere you look, and trails that are pretty easy for most anyone to navigate? Then I think you're going to like it there too. Really, the only reason to turn on your phone is to take pictures.
