Hailey Wright Joins Kicker 102.5 Morning Show for a Candid Chat

Hailey Wright jumped on the air in Texarkana this morning with Kicker 102.5's Jim & Lisa for some catchup-with-Hailey-fun and a little insider scoop on what it's like being on The Voice.

Having conversed with Hailey briefly via text and social media, this was our (Jim & Lisa's) first time to meet her in person and she did not disappoint. Hailey showed up with wet hair, fresh makeup and holey jeans, ready to face the day and start it with us. Which, by the way she says she's been doing her whole life. So, you know she's sharp.

With a little coffee in hand we dove in headfirst to get to know her just a little bit and find out more about what it's like to be on a big-time TV show. Not to mention how disappointed we all were when she was eliminated a couple of weeks ago.

This Redwater native's life has taken a sudden turn for the busy as she entertains offers from record companies and takes time to soak it all in. The shocking thing is how long it has been since her journey to The Voice began, who knew!

This week, Hailey will perform for a charity fundraiser for young women's college scholarships at Joe's Bistro downtown, next to the Post Office in Texarkana Thursday (5/1) evening. Click here for more details.

As always in interviews, you think of a bunch of great questions after it's over, but we got a few good ones in our first meeting and hopefully, Hailey will come back so we can ask her more in the near future.
