Texarkana-Area Harvest Free Summer Lunch Program Schedules

Like they say at Harvest Regional Food Bank, "Hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation," and once again Harvest is sponsoring their Summer Feeding Programs in and around the Texarkana area, including Bowie, Miller, Columbia, Lafayette, and Nevada Counties.

Beginning next Tuesday, May 28th, and running through August 2nd, children can enjoy FREE lunches through the Summer Feeding Program, sponsored by Harvest Regional Food Bank and open to all kids ages 1‐18 years of age. There are no applications required to drop in and get fed, and all children and teens are welcome.

The Summer Feeding Program makes sure all children can eat healthy food during the summer months when the school lunch menu is not available to them. Approximately one in five children in Arkansas are food insecure, which means they have limited or uncertain access to safe and nutritious food. Hungry or food-insecure children are more likely to be in poor health and less likely to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Bowie County Meals will be provided to the following sites:
