With all of us social distancing and with the fears of coronavirus still in the back of our minds, patio dining is getting a little attention.

For lunch, dinner, or a place to enjoy a cup of coffee, patio dining offers a chance to eat or drink at our favorite restaurants and still abide by the new social distancing rule s that are now in effect. Here are just a few of the Texarkana patios to enjoy your food or beverage,

Starbucks
If you are looking to sit and have a cup of coffee the Richmond Road location is the first place that comes to mind. There is a Starbucks on State Line Avenue for those on the Arkansas side of town.

Fuzzy's Taco Shop
Fuzzy’s is one of my favorite places to get my burrito fix. They have a great patio area.

Sonic Drive-In
Great for fast food like a "brown bag" type of lunch and most of the locations in Texarkana have outdoor seating. The outdoor tables have an order menu with the push button just like the drive-up parking slots.

McAlister’s Deli
A great place for a sandwich, soup and some pretty awesome baked potatoes. Located on Cowhorn Creek Road on the Texas side of Texarkana. The patio is covered and stays pretty cool well into the summer. The servers are very friendly and the helpings are big.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina
Another great place for Mexican food and outdoor dining. Fajitas are yummy and the margaritas are a must. It is a great spot to take a break from shopping in a central location off all the Richmond Road area shopping spots. You can relax with chips, dip, and a good selection of entrees.

Hopkins Icehouse
If you like the downtown atmosphere, check out the patio at Hopkins Icehouse. It is a quiet setting and they have a great selection of different entrees. The beer on tap is tough to pass up especially if I order the Hot Chick Pizza. Hopkin's Icehouse also has a location on Gibson Road with a little different patio that is more family-friendly.

LaFogata Bar and Grill
Just outside of Texarkana in Genoa is where you will find this place. They often have live entertainment on the weekends. If you don’t know where you are going, you could drive right past it. Get off Loop 245 at the Genoa Highway 196 exit and go west just long enough to blink twice. You'll see an old truck sticking out of the turn-in area. It's part of their decoration and a great landmark to know you are at the right place.

Pop's Place
Located on Highway 67, it has an outdoor patio area with tons of character. Take Arkansas Boulevard East toward the airport and when you get to Hwy 67, turn left. Pop's Place is just a few hops, skips, and jumps down on the left.

Hot Tails Crawfish Hut
How could you possibly forget this seasonal favorite? There are several covered picnic style tables to enjoy Cajun boiled crawfish and shrimp with all of the fixings. They’ve recently added smoked alligator, too. They are located on Highway 71 approximately five miles north of the Interstate on the right-hand side of the road next just before the Red River bridge.
