Here's the Month That Had the Most Rain EVER in Texarkana History

April showers bring May flowers, right? April is the month that we usually think of it to be the wettest and rainiest month of them all but that might not really be the case in Texarkana, especially this year.

With Texarkana celebrating its Sesqucenntial this year, we couldn't help but think of Texarkana's history and since its April, well surely somewhere in our history April would hold the record for the rainiest month somewhere in our history. So far this month as of April 18, 2023, we have had only 2.7 inches of rain.

April Showers?

Here's what we found out. According to extremeweatherwatch.com, weather records have been kept track of in Texarkana since 1892. In all those years April has had a three-way tie as the third rainiest month. Believe it or not April ties with July and August! Say What? I thought those would be the driest months!
