
Texarkana’s Holiday Season Kicks Off With Several Themed Events
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Texarkana, and the festivities start with the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train on Sunday, November 30. 2025.
Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train Arrives in Texarkana Nov. 30
The train will arrive at 4:45 p.m. and leave at 5:15 p.m. at the railway crossing on W 4th Street east of Lelia Street. The evening will feature live performances by Smash Mouth, known for their iconic hits “All Star” and “I’m a Believer” from Shrek. The celebration will also include a special performance by Canadian artist JJ Wilde.
As part of the CPKC Holiday Train’s visit, the city will be supporting a local food bank. A donation box will be available in the lobby of Texarkana, Texas City Hall, to collect non-perishable food items for Harvest Regional Food Bank now through Friday, November 28.

Texarkana Farmers’ Christmas Market kicks off on Monday, December 1, with the 41st Annual Main Street Christmas Parade starting at 7 p.m. This year’s theme will be “Celebrating Texarkana.”.
