Incredible Tallest Waterfall in Arkansas is Bucket List Worthy
You can always tell when the Spring season is almost here, by the sounds of more chirping birds in the morning, trees starting to bud, grass beginning to sprout, and of course, longer days.
Bucket List - Hemmed-In-Hollow-Falls
After being couped all winter long the glorious spring season just makes us want to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors like fishing, hiking, bicycling, and what better time for a road trip to see one of Arkansas' most magnificent waterfalls, Hemmed-In-Hollow-Falls, the tallest waterfall between the Rocky and Appalachians mountains.
This incredible stunning waterfall is located in the Ponca Wilderness Area of the Buffalo River National Forest and believe me, it's a site to see especially after how much rain the state has received this year.
I would say, in the state of Arkansas this is one waterfall for your bucket list, and you would have to have a pretty big bucket to catch all the water from this gorgeous waterfall.
Hemmed-In-Hollow-Falls is just one of over 200 scenic cascading waterfalls that the natural state has to offer the adventurous type.
Height of the Falls
The height stands tall at 209 feet and is surrounded by the beauty of the canyon bluffs. Check out how to get there via Google Maps here.
Amazing Hiking Trails
There are three different trails that will lead you to Hemmed-In-Hollow-Falls, but be prepared, the hike is very steep and difficult to navigate. The fastest way to get there is by taking a float trip on the Buffalo River to Kyle's Landing where it's only a 3-mile hike from there. You can also get there by horseback too with stables for horseback riding nearby.
Stay in a Cabin
Lodging is also available in the area for those looking to make a weekend out of it.
