
Community Tips Lead to Quick Capture of Escaped Inmate in Texarkana
Antarian Wright, a work-release inmate who escaped from a work release job in Hope, Arkansas, on June 4, and was spotted in the Pinson Park area of Texarkana, Arkansas, early this morning, has been captured.
Texarkana, Arkansas, Police received a call that he had been seen at the Dollar General on Arkansas Blvd. Officers responding to the call verified the information as correct, and Wright was taken into custody without incident. Arkansas State Police responded as well and have transported him back to jail. The TAPD and law enforcement officials thank the community for staying alert and helping in apprehending the escapee as quickly as possible. This peaceful capture concludes a multi-agency search.

Police are looking for a 30-year-old black male, Antarian Wright, who walked off from his work release job in Hope, Arkansas, on Wednesday. He was last seen wearing dark grey pants and a dark, possibly black, long-sleeved sweatshirt. He was believed to have ties to the Texarkana area, and the TAPD was requested to assist in searching several local addresses, including the Pinson Park area, where it's believed he could be hiding.
One location was his girlfriend's apartment at Beacon Point Apartments at 2301 Arkansas Blvd. The TAPD joined the Arkansas State Police and the Arkansas Department of Community Correction around 3:40 AM this morning, and when law enforcement officials approached the apartment, Wright escaped on foot again. A K-9 unit was brought in from the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department to track the inmate, but was unsuccessful in its mission.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend, 26-year-old Precious White, was arrested by the Arkansas State Police for aiding and abetting Wright's escape and was transported to the Miller County Jail. According to the Arkansas Department of Community Correction website, Wright was originally incarcerated for Aggravated Robbery and Theft by Receiving/Firearm.
