The Reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect or suspects in the Bowie County Triple Homocide has been increase by $2,500 to a total of $30,000.

Investigators continue to ask for your assistance in coming forward with any information concerning the murder of 34 year old Amanda Doss and her 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son.  You are asked to call the Bowie County Sheriff's office or Texarkana Area Crimestoppers. Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating a stabbing incident which left a local man hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. Authorities were called to the 1000 block of West 3rd street and told that an employee had confronted a male suspect  who was rummaging thru a company vehicle in the parking lot of the business.

The suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the upper abdomen. The suspect who was wearing a white shirt fled on foot into the wooded area near the business.

The Twice as Nice 5K Run/Walk Benefit is coming up this Saturday at 8am at Spring  Lake Park in Texarkana, Texas. The event will benefit a local woman Kristie Coe, who has been battling breast cancer for the past year. Proceeds will go to help this mother of four and her family.

This is an event for the entire family with a one mile walk/wheelchair roll and the 5K Run. Recommended donation/entry fee is $25.00.

In Sports:

The Dallas Mavericks have taken a 3-1 series lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals of the NBA Playoffs.

Dallas came from behind and won in overtime in Oklahoma City last night. The winner will go on to face the winner of the Eastern Conference series between the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls in the NBA Finals in June.

The Pleasant Grove Hawks continue in the boys High School Baseball Playoffs in Northeast Texas. The Hawks will take on Bonham in a best of three regional semi-final series beginning Thursday evening at 7pm at Hawk Field in Texarkana. Game #2 will be Friday at 7:30 in Bonham and game #3 if necessary would be 4pm Saturday afternoon at North Lamar High School in Paris.   GO HAWKS!!!!!
