Jim & Lisa Bring Home The Trophy From The Arkansas Country Music Awards

We did it y'all... and we have you to thank. After over eleven years together on the air and now on our fourth nomination, we did it, we're bringing home the trophy for Arkansas Country Music's Best DJs of the Year 2023.

Monday night, June 5, 2023, at the Reynolds Performance Hall, located on the campus of The University of Central Arkansas in Conway, the 4-time nominated Jim & Lisa Show from Kicker 102.5 came away with matching trophies that say "Jim & Lisa" are the Radio DJ of the Year.

That was really sweet of them to give us each a trophy, we thought if by some crazy outside chance we won, we would have to fight over custody. Who got odd weekends, even weekends, etc?

I have to admit to being a bit stunned when the presenter read off the nominees and then said "and the winner is... Jim and Lisa," I blurted out "I'll be da__ed!" Neither of us had anything prepared to say because we really didn't think we would win. Never say never.

The funny part of the whole evening to me is Lisa jumped in and started blathering thank you's, I really thought she would freeze up a little in front of the crowd gathered for the awards show. We're used to talking freely on our mics in the studio but neither of us gets much chance to talk in front of large groups. She jumped right in thanking our listeners and spouses, she shocked me, all I had to do was wrap it up when she was done cause that's what radio partners do.

We do have to thank the folks here at home who voted online for us, your votes gave us a real shot of pulling out this victory and we are truly grateful. Thank you to the special panelists involved in Arkansas Country Music who voted for us as well. We are proud to bring home the trophies for a change instead of telling you about others who did.
