
Texarkana Juvenile Injured in Apartment Shooting Monday
Texarkana police are continuing to investigate a shooting that left a juvenile injured Monday evening at a local apartment complex.
Juvenile Taken to Hospital After Shooting
According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD), officers were dispatched around 7:12 PM on April 27, after receiving a 911 call from a local hospital reporting a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers quickly began gathering information and determined the incident occurred at the High Point Apartments in the 2700 block of College Street in College Hill.
Investigation Centers on Apartment Complex
Responding TAPD officers, along with detectives from the department’s Criminal Investigation Division, confirmed the shooting took place inside one of the apartment units. Law enforcement personnel remained on scene late into Monday evening, working to process evidence and piece together the sequence of events.
Texarkana Police Interviewing Parties, Seeking Answers
Investigators are currently interviewing all parties believed to be involved as they work to determine exactly how the shooting occurred. At this time, authorities have not released additional details regarding potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The juvenile victim is receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the shooting. The extent of those injuries has not been publicly disclosed.
