Christmas is almost here! Have you hung any mistletoe up this year hoping to get a smooch under the mistletoe. Mistletoe has been around for a long time but when most people think of it, it's for that reason. Would you be willing to give a perfect stranger a kiss if you were caught underneath the mistletoe?First, let me give you a little history lesson about the mistletoe. The mistletoe is an evergreen displayed during the Christmas season and symbolic of the eventual rebirth of vegetation that will occur in spring. In regions where the plant is not native (or is rare), most people do not even realize that mistletoe does not grow on the ground, but rather on trees as a parasite shrub. So, I guess you could say Kissing under the Parasite shrub but that sounds a little dangerous only if you eat the berries because they are poisonous.

In fact in some Celtic rituals and Norse mythology the mistletoe is considered to be a sacred plant. It was believed to have medicinal qualities and mysterious supernatural powers. But whatever the case, you can be rest assured that the mistletoe will long be a symbol of the Christmas season for years to come.

Recently, a survey was done in a mall where a guy demonstrated that he could get a total  random stranger to kiss him under the mistletoe.

See for yourself if he had any takers.
