March Music Month continues with the Second Annual Gatsby Gala this Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7PM at Silver Moon on Broad, presented by the Texarkana Museum Systems. 

Enjoy jazz music, door prizes, auctions, and contests. Dress the part in your roaring twenties attire and sample hors-d’oeuvres by Benchmark.  Beer and wine are included at the Second Annual Gatsby Gala. Admission to the Gatsby Gala is $60 for non-members but only $55 for members.  Proceeds go to the Ace of Clubs House Restoration projects.

In 1919, local Senator Morris Sheppard co-authored the Volstead Act and prohibition soon began. 100 years later, join us in celebrating its failure with a 1920's inspired Night at a Speakeasy. Purchase your tickets today at TexarkanaMuseums.org/Events.

In addition, on March 9, Discovery Place Interactive Museum will hold recorder lessons from 11AM until 4PM  Instrument and lunch are provided and students will be invited to perform at a recital at our Historic P J Ahern home on March 23.  A wonderful introduction to the world of music.
