The place to be this weekend is historic Jefferson, Texas for the 32nd annual Krewe of Hebe Mardi Gras Up River celebration all weekend long.

Starting today (Friday) through this Sunday there will be a ton of festivities, parades, arts and crafts, food vendors, plus live music in the downtown area. This year's theme is "Mythology Madness."

Check out all the Children's activities and the carnival going on downtown including a pet parade, what would a Mari Gras celebration be without some fabulous King Cake?

Get there early as they are expecting a huge crowd with great weather predicted for this weekend. Highs tomorrow are expected to be in the mid-50s with the high on Sunday upper 60s.

Admission to Mardi Gras

There is a cost to get into the Mardi Gras festival event wristbands are $10 and are good for all three days of activities. Wristbands will be sold at the main entrance to the Entertainment tent on West Austin Street or in the souvenir booth. $1.00 of the sale of a wristband will go toward Toys for Tots in Marion County.
