In 1946 this town, Texarkana, the very town that you might be living in right now underwent five horrific murders, the murderer was never caught. It's even conceivable that he might still be alive today, nobody knows but him, the Phantom Killer.

I hoped you saved some popcorn or candy for the last "Movies In The Park" for 2017 this Thursday night in Spring Lake Park, brought to you by the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department.

This Thursday, October 16, you cannot miss "The Town That Dreaded Sundown."

Shot in 1976, "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" stars Ben Johnson, Andrew Prine and Dawn Wells, yes, Maryann from "Gilligan's Island." Directed by Charles B. Pierce the movie was shot in documentary style with a narrator and pretty bad acting for that matter. But it's awesome, and it all happened right here in T-town.

Grab and couple of blankets and some snacks and we'll see you at the park.

The movie starts at 7:30 PM as they all do for the Fall edition of "Movies in the Park".
