Music in the Park ‘Summer Concert Series’ at Historic Washington State Park
Historic Washington State Park announces the annual summer concert series “Music in the Park” with the theme “Music from our Roots.” The concert series will run the third Saturday of June, July, and August. All concerts are free.
Here's a list of upcoming shows, according to a press release.
June 17 - The Silvey and McWilliams Family are family home-grown bands from Southwest Arkansas. Both groups are comprised of family members and live in the local area. Both have entertained neighbors and friends at church gatherings and community events. Both play a mixture of Americana folk and bluegrass music.
July 15 - The Purple Hulls is the dynamic duo of talented identical twins, Katy Lou & Penny Lea Clark, raised on a working purple hull pea farm near Kilgore Texas. Concentrations focus on multi-genre venues, festival appearances, church shows and house concerts.
Work in the fields, solid family values and in church every time the doors opened, provide the inspiration and foundation for their authentic acoustic driven music.
