Rodney Atkins Headlines the 2017 Red River Balloon Rally

The 2017 Red River Balloon Rally is set for this weekend July 14-15, with the U.S. National Hot Air Balloon Championship going on through Sunday, July 16, 2017. The balloon rally along with other events and activities will be held at the LSUS campus in Shreveport. Saturday evening will feature a concert with Rodney Atkins followed by a balloon glow and a huge fireworks show.

The U.S. Hot Air Balloon National Competition starts Tuesday, July 11, and runs through this Sunday, July, 16. Hot air balloons will fill the skies over Shreveport - Bossier in this certified sanctioned event. In addition, on Friday and Saturday there will be tethered balloons rides (weather permitting), special shaped balloons for viewing, amusement rides, a kid's zone, food and drink vendors and of course, a balloon glow.
