School Closings For Texarkana & Surrounding Areas Tuesday Jan 16

We knew there was a big possibility of freezing rain, sleet and snow in the Texarkana area and it happened. These freezing temperatures will be with us through Monday and Tuesday night. Here is a list of the school closures for Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Roads are icy so please if you don't have to be on the roads do not get out and drive during these icy conditions.

Texarkana College closed with Virtual Learning on Tuesday with staff working remotely.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana campuses closed and classes all canceled

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will be open for classes and normal business operations on Tuesday, January 16. They ask you to please exercise caution when traveling to and from campus. Communicate with your professors or supervisors if weather conditions in your area necessitate any accommodations. Officials will continue to monitor conditions overnight.
