Just off a 3 day weekend which included a couple of days in this report.  Last week's arrest numbers went up a little from the week before with 63 total arrests in Bowie County last week. Just a bit more, up from 59 the week before. Bowie County Deputies made 20 of those arrests, while other area law enforcement agencies brought in 43.

The Texas Legislature only convenes every other year and we continue to wonder if they shouldn't go ahead and do it every year because they never seem to finish things. Once again, the regular session ends and there are still significant matters that need to be taken care of right now. Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a special session that will begin immediately.

Back a couple of months ago tornados ripped through Arkansas hitting Little Rock and the small town of Wynne. The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana recently delivered supplies to the tornado victims in Wynne, Arkansas.
