Get ready because the 2021 State Fair of Louisiana is back for a Spring Edition April 29-May 9, in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA. This is the first time in its 114th history that the fair will be held in Spring.

Things may have been setback last year but the fair is back with lots of attractions, carnival rides, fair food, concerts, and more. Here are some of the highlights of this year's fair.

  • Gascar Crazy Animal Races - Goats, Chickens, Sheep, and Pigs
  • Laura Jaye Aerial Show - Pole Acrobats and Stilt Walking
  • Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show - Strong Men Competition
  • The Pirates Parrot Show - Highly Trained Parrots
  • Nerveless Nocks Thrill Show - Dare Devil Stunt Show

Don't miss the 2021 Spring Livestock Show, the State Fair Car Show, and the Timberview Helicopter Rides. During "Free Fair Days" (Weekdays) visitors can enjoy free gate admission and free parking from Noon until 3 PM. Be on the lookout for street performers who will keep you entertained and amazed.

As always, the State Fair of Louisiana has a lineup of free concerts! This year some of the highlights include:

May 1 - Native Louisiana Country Artist Frank Foster 7:30 PM.

May 2 - Fiesta at the Fair Cinco de Mayo Edition featuring live Mexican music, authentic Mexican food, and a Low Rider Car Show.

May 8 - Ol Skool 90s Hip-Hop featuring Money B and Young Hump of Digital Underground, and Tone Loc.
