‘Supergirl’ Sets ‘Lois and Clark’ Alum Teri Hatcher as New Big Bad
Supergirl already had a rich history of past Super-stars in minor roles, and its latest is a major upset for Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman fans. Lois herself, Teri Hatcher will be taking on a major role in the back half of Season 2, but one that’s anything but friendly.
Per TVLine, Hatcher will appear in “multiple” episodes of Season 2, an is currently being described as “the season’s big villain.” We’d probably guess that the role has something to do with those cloaked figures chasing after Mon-El, but Season 2 has also yet to flesh out the entirety of Cadmus, or explain the alien nature of Lynda Carter’s President.
Hatcher joins her former Lois & Clark co-star Dean Cain (who plays Kara’s adoptive father, Jeremiah Danvers), while executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said:
No offense to any of the wonderful actresses who have also played the part, but Teri Hatcher is my all time favorite Lois Lane. To have her come back to the SuperWorld in a completely different part is an unbelievable gift to me, [EP] Greg [Berlanti], and the fans.
Elsewhere, Season 2 will see William Mapother returning as Parasite in an upcoming episode, along with Frederick Schmidt’s Metallo, to say nothing of future villains like Mr. Mxyzptlk or the Music Meister.
In the meantime, watch the trailer for next Monday’s “The Martian Chronicles” below, and stay tuned for the latest.
