Take a Walk Through the Trail of Lights Opening Weekend Nov. 17

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and it certainly will on Friday, November 17 through December 31, 2023, at Piney Park.  It's their annual holiday-themed Winter Festival and Trail of Lights in historic Marshall, Texas.

This year promises to be their biggest year yet with more dazzling twinkling lights, and animated displays with the sound of Christmas filling up the air in this 120-acre forest in Marshall.

Piney Park is a walk-through, not a drive-thru so each visitor will be immersed in a half-mile of lights at every turn getting you into the holiday spirit.

As you stroll at your own pace there are dozens of photo ops along the winding trail through the East Texas piney woods.

Children will love the huge 100-foot slide, jumping pillows, gingerbread village, and visiting with Santa. For an additional fee, kids can have breakfast with Santa on select dates in December.

The centerpiece of this premier park is the huge tall 45-foot lighted Christmas tree you can't miss as you enter the park.

Light Maze

One of the popular features is the 10,000-square-foot lighted maze which is perfect for taking a picture with a loved one.

Food and Sweets

What would a holiday-themed park be without some tasty sweet treats from the Sweet Shack? Tempt your tastebuds with a variety of food in the Food Truck area, and sip on some hot chocolate as you listen to live music in the park.

On your way out make sure you take the time to visit the Holiday Market with a ton of unique gifts and holiday decor.

Open - Monday -  Thursday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Open -  Friday and Saturday 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Closed - Sunday

Admission to Piney Park includes FREE parking and other attractions, children 2 and under are FREE.

Opening weekend Nov. 17-18 is the cheapest ticket $9.99 and an extra $1 off if you purchase online.

Note: November 27- 29 First Responders, Educators,  and Health Care Professionals Admission is FREE with proper ID.

Fireworks Show

Piney Park will wrap up the season with a spectacular fireworks show on December 30-31, 2023.
