Texarkana School Closing for January 9, 2025

Winter is here. The Winter Storm Warning in our area from today (Thursday) 6 AM to Friday. Here is a list of school closings in Texarkana and surrounding areas.

School Closings and Delays

Ashdown School District - Closed Thursday

Atlanta School District - Closed Thursday

De Kalb School District -Closed Thursday and Friday

Fouke Schools - Closed Thursday

Hope School District - early dismissal at 1 PM Thursday and Closed on Friday.

Hooks School District - Closed Thursday

Liberty Eylau School District - Closing at noon on Thursday

Malta Schools - Closed Thursday and Friday

New Boston School - Closed Thursday

Redwater ISD -Thursday Half -Day. Classes starting as usual with buses running at noon. Morning practices are allowed.
Friday- Closed all-day

Texarkana ISD - Closed Thursday

Texarkana Arkansas School District - Closed Thursday

A&M-Texarkana will go to remote operations Friday. Classes have not yet started for the spring semester, so this does not impact instruction. Their enrollment services and advising staff will be prepared to connect with students remotely and virtually to help  students with enrollment/advising/registration.

Texarkana College - Closed Thursday

U of A Hope - Texarkana - Both campuses closed on Thursday and Friday. Due to the inclement weather, the last day to register for spring classes has been extended to Tuesday, January 14.
