It’s a Frightfully Good Time: 2025 Spring Lake Park’s October Events Announced

October is shaping up to be a spooktacular month at Spring Lake Park, and Texarkana, Texas Parks & Recreation just announced all the fall fun for the community. From family movies in the evening to the fun Halloween-themed festival, there’s something for everyone.

The month will kick off with the fall line-up of Movies in the Park, held across from the airplane and starting at dusk. Remember to bring blankets and lawn chairs so the whole family can curl up under the stars and enjoy the free movies.

Thursday, October 9 - Lilo & Stitch

Grab your blankets and get ready for this fun live-action movie.

Thursday, October 16 - The Nightmare Before Christmas

Get into the Halloween spirit with this favorite.

Thursday, October 23 - The Town That Dreaded Sundown

Perfect for an October night with the classic movie about Texarkana's Phantom Killer.

All movies will begin at Dusk, around 7 PM.

Don't Miss the Fall Festival in Texarkana at Spring Lake Park

But that’s not all, before the movie on October 16 come early and enjoy the annual Fall Festival that will begin at 4:30 PM. Kids can dress up in costumes and enjoy games, treats, and seasonal fun that will lead up to the 7 PM showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
